ABOUT LOVE CHAPTERS
The Love Chapters is a body of work that celebrates the bond between African mothers and their daughters. The series was inspired by the birth of my daughter, which became the main push behind it. Through these paintings, I honor the elegance, dignity, and beauty of African women while showing their relationships in a way that is both intimate and universal.
Each piece is painted with intentionality, designed to evoke peace, love, and a deep sense of connection. Inspired by the old masters, the works combine realism with calmness, using rich Nigerian attire, detailed textures, and soft lighting that highlights strength and grace.
I also draw from my wife’s creativity as a fashion designer to dress the mother and daughter subjects.
Together we blend traditional Nigerian women’s attire with modern fashion to create a unique and elegant style that feels rooted in culture yet fresh for today.
At the heart of The Love Chapters is representation. I want every African mother and daughter who sees these paintings to feel proud and say: “Yes, this is how I look. This is how I feel.” The series offers a new story, one that shows African women not through struggle but through love, resilience, and beauty.
The Love Chapters is a record of love, heritage, elegance and timeless storytelling, ensuring this bond continues to inspire generations to come.
